A Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounts, Economics, Auditing Taxation or Management is advised for people who want to pursue a career as Senior Auditors. Other certifications are also helpful. They may include a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountants (CPA).
Auditors receive opportunities for training on the job. Employers may provide access to training or job shadowing. Employees work up the ladder from junior accounting positions to the role of Senior Auditor. A Masters Degree will also adequately assist employees to transition to senior roles as well.
