Land Surveyors are required to study and determine land features to create reports about specific lands. They usually work with measuring instruments in road construction projects. These workers need to research a big amount of information in order to start their survey duties. They can work privately for an individual or full time in organizations or state governments.
Land Surveyors usually perform many of the following tasks:

• Creating schedules.
• Developing maps.
• Coordinating with clients.
• Writing reports.

Education
Land Surveyor job placements require licensed candidates in the same state in which they will be working. Requirements vary according to companies and state regulations, but generally speaking, most employers require applicants with a degree from an accredited university or a surveyor license to determine their knowledge about this area. There are some universities that offer an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science for those who are working in this sector.
There are two types of specializations in this business, including Hydrographical Surveying and Geophysical Surveying.
