An Administrative Assistant offers clerical and secretarial support to employees. These assistants are able to create documents using Microsoft Office applications, operate office equipment, distribute internal and external mailings, and performing other ad hoc daily office tasks.

Assistants handle calls and deal with office guests. They offer refreshments while visitors wait on appointments to begin. They also arrange and schedule maintenance and It personnel to come in and do performance checks on equipment. Admin Assistants work in many different industries. Administrative assistant should possess at least a High School Diploma. They must be capable of performing administrative functions or office tasks.
