Phlebotomists are clinical laboratory technicians required to draw blood samples. These professionals provide blood samples to medical clinicians in order to know its composition and potential problems of a patient. In the case of several samples, they know how to order different tubes of blood collection. They also pick up laboratory test orders from medical staff and transport samples to the laboratory where they will be tested.
Phlebotomists usually perform many of the following tasks:

• Making sure that quality parameters are being followed.

• Sterilizing instruments.
