Hey guys, when selecting a Remote DBA services firm for my company what should I ask? I feel there is so much more than what I know in this field and I what to know from people who already dealt with stuff like this. So if you could leave in the comments a couple of questions interesting to ask and why should I ask them would be awesome. Thanks

    • Hello ! From my own perspective if you want time efficiency I’d ask where is the firm located and this works for multiple services , just because if the time zone is really different or completely opposite off-shoring may affect your schedule as well as the applicable laws that detail your confidential information.

    • Well from my experience the first thing I ask is if you’ll work with specific professionals assigned to your company of will you be working with a call center, because you want to receive the highest level of service with DBAs assigned to you. And also ask if you’ll have a dedicated senior DBA on your account. Request handled by a junior and escalated to a senior takes longer to resolve. Hope you found these helpful!

    • Hi everyone, from my point of view is also really important to ask about the longevity of the firm. You want to make sure that the firm you are going to work with is established, has enduring employees and customers and if you are lucky they’ll have a proven reputation. This means they have been successful and have a nice customer support.

    • Hi guys, I see no one mentioned one of the strongest indicators that the company is highly qualified to offer your team access to their monitoring management. Is : asking if the company monitoring and maintenance tools are available to you. If you are into this you should also ask for a demonstration of the tools during your decision process.
