Some persons working on this field are Retail Sales Persons or Retail Sales Associates and they are required to sell retail services and products to the clients. They provide answers to customer’s inquiries, handle payments, sell goods, and make sure that the products are properly displayed.

Retail Sales workers usually perform many of the following tasks:

Experience requirements vary according to different companies and employers, but in cases where applicants do not have enough work experience they receive on-the-job training programs to learn basic skills and knowledge for these jobs. There are several colleges and high schools that offer two-year programs that include courses in retail selling, merchandising, and principles of retailing for people who want to work in this industry. Other suitable background experiences for this area are business administration, sales environments, and customer service.
