Overseeing a retail store or department is the overall responsibility of a Retail Manager. These managers handle the recruitment, training, evaluation and mentoring of employees under their command. They review the stores sales performance and implement new strategies to increase sales and help workers meet targets.

Likewise, some professionals are naturally gifted in this industry and possess only a GED, NVQ, or SVQ qualification. Regardless, employers expect their employees to have the right skills to become Retail Managers.
