Servers are responsible for serving beverages and food to the clients in a restaurant or any other related building. They serve customers since the moment they enter to the restaurant, offering menu cards, taking their orders and serving required dishes and drinks. These workers make sure that clients do not face any problem while they are at a restaurant or hotel.

Servers usually perform many of the following tasks:

• Checking customer´s needs.
• Cleaning tables.
• Suggesting food.
• Taking food orders.

Server jobs require candidates having a High School Diploma as a minimum requirement. Applicants must also have some skills like friendly nature and good communication abilities. Experience is a valuable point for several employers, so it is recommended to have previous work experience in restaurants and hotels. There are some cases where it is required to have a Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Hotel Management for high end restaurants.
