Greensboro is a city in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is the third-largest city by population, in North Carolina and the largest city in Guilford County and the surrounding Piedmont Triad metropolitan region. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, Greensboro's population stands at 269,666.The city is located at the intersection of two major interstate highways (I-85 and I-40) in the Piedmont region of central North Carolina.
