Kansas City is the third-largest city in the U.S. state of Kansas and is the county seat of Wyandotte County. It is commonly referred to as "KCK" to differentiate it from Kansas City, MO (which is often referred to as "KCMO"). It is a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri and is the third largest city in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, a region of over two million people. The city is part of the "Unified Government" which also includes the cities of Bonner Springs and Edwardsville. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 145,786. The city is situated at Kaw Point, which is the junction of the Missouri and Kansas rivers.
