Housekeepers are responsible for performing cleaning duties at hotel facilities. They specialized in different areas, including laundry duties, where they wash, dry and fold towels, bedding, uniforms, linen, among other items. Other professionals are required to clean guest rooms after visitors´ check out. They use cleaning equipment to maintain these rooms, change towels and linens, and restock tissues, drinking glasses, and soaps.

Housekeepers usually perform many of the following tasks:
• Cleaning toilets.

• Vacuuming halls and rooms.

There are some certifications available for people working in this business including Certified Executive Housekeeper and Registered Executive Housekeeper. Applicants need to take training classes in order to obtain these certifications.
