Life Coaches are responsible for guiding people that are confused on what to do into their lives. They support goal-setting, personal growth, and behavior modification of their clients. These professionals help people to achieve their goals by improving different actions necessary to take control of future plans. They may work at hospitals, schools, companies, private institutes, and government agencies.

Life Coaches usually perform many of the following tasks:
• Evaluating the outcome of the tasks.
• Setting objectives.
• Providing structured questions.
• Planning future tasks.
• Making clients aware of their progress.

Education

Life Coach jobs require candidates having Bachelor´s, Master´s, or Doctorate´s Degrees in Counseling. In some cases, these posts are open for applicants from other fields such as psychologists. Professionals working on this area must have a certification that is required by several states. This qualification is offered by the International Coaching Federation and it is composed by a 125-hour ICF training program or a similar course for this field, work experience in this area, and a letter of recommendation from established coaches. This program includes courses in developing materials, pricing, marketing, leadership techniques, coaching dynamics, professional practices, and choosing a specialty, including general business classes.
